I was just wondering, since I got a new best in my Acura today (14.08 @ 98.8mph). Am I the only one with a need to drive something quick all the time?

BTW I beat a couple nice mustangs today, a 98GT auto with 18" Saleens (replica), a stock 05GT 5 speed (bad driver, bad launch), and a modded WRX. (btw dont flame on the flag use, my car was made in Ohio ).

I know it's not that quick, but my new Mazda3 should be in the mid to high 15's stock(if I can drive). I would go crazy after a while if I didn't have something quick to drive everyday.

My Grand Prix GTP is pretty fast. Those S/C 3800 motors are pretty stout, and if I swapped out the pulley it would give my Mustang (even in its current modded state) a serious run. Kinda sad that a less than $100 mod would put me there.

well shortly my sentra will be my street car again, sorta. I will split the duty between my mustang.

My sentra is my fstest car, and will soon be even faster. My motor is at the machine shop right now.

here are the specs on the sentra

1991 sentra se-r:
Sr20det (gtir motor)
54c compitition block
stage 4 ported head
sodium filled valves
Individual throttle bodies
Custom stroker kit (benson automotive)
stroked from 2.0 liter to 2.5 liter
CP pistons resized from standard 86mm to 90mm
Titanium Pauter rods.
custom ground crank
msd 96lb/hr injectors
custom turbo manifold
deciding on the turbo now, but am think a gt30/40
running a top mount intercooler with a nitrous spraybar.
2x255lph walbro fuel pumps
par dogbox transmission conversion
JWT ecu
JWT Nitrous spool option
300zx twin turbo MAF
3" downpipe to 2.7" exhaust with stock exhaust tip
and a bunch of other stuff I cant remember. The motor should have upper 700hp atw potential, but I will keep it around the upper 400hp zone for street use. Oh did I mention the car weighs 2200 lbs.

Dont know what it will run in the 1/4 mile b/c the suspension is setup for autocrossing.

Your kidding me, you got a headed and cammed 5.0 with and eddy intake and your saying that your GTP with a pulley upgrade for more boost will put you faster than the gt. You must be kidding me I have raced 2 GTP's and beat both of them. Sure you can get a pulley and put them close to 300 but they don't produce the torque. I even racede a grand prix that had a gtp motor put in it when the blew up his stock 3800. He has the SLP intake ( i believe that who's it was) a full exhaust and a pulley upgrade. He ran a 9.2 at the track and the car dynoe'd at like 290's well. I still beat him with just gears (3.55's) and flows with a 9.1
Not knocking the cars cause they will do some damage at interstate speeds and handle really well.
What would have been fun would have been a S/C 3.8 in a grand am less weight now that would be fun pushiung like 10psi muahahahaha.

My one buddy has a Taurus SHO for his DD. He paid 500 bucks for it and it chirps thrid. Its soo beat and ready to die its funny. But it will smoke almost every car we line up to, and thats with 4 people in the car. It also has 170k miles on it!

I got my 5.0L 98 explorer. Its not that fast, but for a suv it gets up and goes. I've managed to win quite a few races with it, all time awd too so it rips out of the whole. But it sounds good with the flowmaster dumped at the axle.

I know, it's pretty messed up. But GM really built those cars right. Off the line there is no question what would happen (with a FF setup, it ain't no sports car). But it's up top where that S/C 3800 really shines.

Put it this way, with my GTech, I run about 5.5 seconds to 60 in the GT, and about 6.3 in the GTP. Although in fairness to the GT, I did not have it even close to dialed in the last time I ran it with the GTech, nor do I have the launch down yet. And while I know I wouldn't drop 0.8 seconds to 60 with just a pulley, but it would be close enough to be more than just a bit uncomfortable.

BTW, I have a Trick Flow intake, not eddy. (not that it matters)
