What won't go in? The slip yoke to the transmission? Are you sure it's the right one? Does it have the same splines as the transmission? Will it not go in at all, or just halfway?

Shouldn't be a notch, and if the old one came out and you have the right one, should slide right in?

Where did you get the driveshaft from? Are you sure its for a fox/or fox SN car? The yokes may be different. Just look at or count the splines...i know its a tough task...but that will surely give you the answer.

I would stop trying to install it and start taking some measurements to make sure you have the right part. Installing a DS is as simple as sex...just put it in.

Check your receipt and make sure you have the right one. Post a picture if you can.

Very simple. You either have the wrong driveshaft, or have a Tremec tranny, and don't know it.

You may have ordered the right one, but that doesn't mean that's what you got. Count the splines on your yoke, and report back.

ok so i counted the splines on each of the driveshafts (stock and aftermarket alum) where the yoke goes into the transmission. and both have the same # of splines......27 or 28 (i forget which one lol) but i counted it like 20 times to make sure and they are the same. but the splines seem closer together on the yoke on the aftermarket driveshaft one than the stock. also the driveshaftseemed a liitle longer too. so am i really that bad at getting it in or do i have the wrong driveshaft?

Might have to get a Dart block but don't want to and if I do, then 363 instead of 331. Thoughts on what I've already bought so far.......
