I was too until about 18 months ago. Lots of reading, more reading, Stangnet and google searches, talking with Steve @a91what , Stinger performance forums, etc. Then I just jumped in and did it. I've never owned a boosted car before nor have I ever worked with tuning EFI. It's intimidating at first then you get more comfortable as you get more educated in it. I still have a lot to learn, for instance, I've been doing a lot of reading about tuning Acceleration Enrichment. I have some rich spikes when I romp on the gas and sometimes it's a lean spike that then goes rich. This tells me I need to make adjustments to my AE (accel enrich) which can be a bit complicated but I feel I have a decent understanding on what needs to happen based on recent data.

nice kit, but you are looking at about $5000 when all is said and done with a polished kit and a meth kit vs about $3k for the V3

Sounds correct for a brand new KB but the V3 either needs to be intercooled or have Meth added to it as well. You'd have to run low boost (6-8psi) or stay out of boost most of the time to avoid high IAT's even with a centri. I read all the time about Centri ppl having to combat high IAT's. Compressing air creates heat, regardless which method (ie. centri, turbo, twin screw, etc) you use to do it.

Of course neither of these prices include other mandatory modifications required when supercharging. It's friggin expensive to go fast.

From what I know and talked with Mike from KB they are rolling out some product as of now over to TPS. I asked them if it was just blowzilla or if flowzilla was an option and they stated they believe only blowzilla. Talked with TPS owner mike and he claims they are short on product due to high order and yes flowzilla is an option, but he also told me this last year when these were suppose drop around this time. So idk who, or where he is getting the inlets let alone the manifolds to be able to switch the bypass. 4000 for the blowzilla plus 500 for the flowzilla upgrade, 4500 for it seems so high. I know it’s a solid piece and does it’s job. The bad thing is it’s still 90s platform technology, wish they would have revamped the unit and update it to run some sort of intercooler etc. I’m tempted but at 4500 is it worth it?

I wouldn't pay $4,500 for a Flowzilla. Why the F@@K would they produce these again and not make the inlet capable of being intercooled? It wouldn't be much more work for them to do.

Sorry but during the summer when ambient temps are 90* my twin screw is putting out about 160* IAT's at cruise and idle. Spraying meth doesn't fix that, only intercooling does.

In early Spring and Fall when the air has a nice crisp bite to it in the mornings my Kenne Bell is a freakin' hell raiser. During the Summer it's a lazy biotch unless you spray it.

Ha yeah I’m not real sure, but seems as though it was an easy stamp out product for KB since I’m sure they have their old blueprints etc in the dungeon, stamped a few out and sent them to the TPS owner. They will be strictly sold through him. The price he wants for old technology that you would have to have fab’d for intercooler makes that one expensive piece, 4500 plus whatever it would cost to fab that up, cooler etc. sucks bc I know KB sees the fox’s Have such a big following, and would think they would say let’s update our old blower, modernize it and get back in the game but seems they let anything pushrod go and focus on modular motors. I’d love to have a twin screw if it was up to date with current stuff. At this point it’s either centri or turbo, but don’t really like turbos, love the power don’t like that I’d have to change up my exhaust which I love!!

That aside, I still think the KB 2.1L Flowzilla is the [perfect] blower match for any street driven, stock 302 long block. Once you start adding heads and associated mods the choices become more difficult.

I would wholeheartedly recommend this kit to anyone who wants to remain stock with more HP to include Fox Cobras. Relatively simple to install, and very simple to put back to stock. Supporting mods include (to do it right) 255L/hr High press fuel pump, 42 lbs injectors, wideband, and a tune. Optional: Anderson 4" Power Pipe, elbows and couplers, clamps, 90mm MAF, 80mm TB and spacer (Accufab), exhaust.

Cheater method: 255L/hr High press fuel pump, Fuel Management Unit, wideband

Highly Recommended: Boost-A-Pump regardless of what fuel pump you use (this is more about crappy electrical systems than about the pump)

With all the optional mods, this blower can split an OEM block down the lifter valley. It is however, uncommon.

I don't see why not so long as you have the hood clearance. You'd also have to do something to modify the bypass valve to accommodate moving the manifold along with a GT-40 phenolic spacer that same height as your plate.

The portion I'm not sure about is how much clearance there is between the intake and pressurized manifolds. You might have the relieve some material if they intersect.

I'd have to go and actually look at the car to see if anything else would be an issue.

Another thought occurred: Maybe remove the pressurised manifold and machine the mating surface down to accommodate the new plate.

Then everything could stay where it is and essentially you'd 'gasket' the new piece, top and bottom, to the manifold and blower.

Just place a W/M nozzle in the far side of the pressure hat. This will give the charge plenty of time to get churned up and cool the air. I have seen a 100* drop in intake temps and I have alot less space.

pressure hat? Don't know that term. Where would that be on a PD blower?

A quick google search took me to a forum where a nitrous plate for meth was suggested and shot down for poor atomization and unequal distribution. Another guy thought spraying after the IAT may cause an issue, though I'm not so sure about that. Anyways, if there's a common plenum after the rotors where a single nozzle designed for atomizing meth can be installed, that would make the most sense. I just thought it was pretty much straight to the lower intake after pressurization. It was just an idea.
