Voting for the bloc doesn't do any good, all it does is tell other provinces that quebec is still having a seperation wet dream, we'll never get taken seriously if this province keeps voting for crap like that.

Conservative party? I don't know I think I may go that route... votes for other small parties like the bloc, green, NDP will just take votes away from the only real competition to the liberals.

To be honest, No one seems deserving of being voted in my opinion. It's like having to choose from the lesser evil. Our poor, poor country. What a great idea this country is based on but sadly we're so corrupted.

If I was to be in charge, I'd turn the whole system upsidedown, seperate every province and form a new union sort of like the states. Start this country all over again and this time throw away our british roots and make our own. Burn or melt every piece of money that has the queen's face on it too! I don't support the seperation of quebec, the PQ are more corrupted than the Liberal party. I wouldn't want to seperate if they're in charge. Maybe some other people.

I didnt realize there was so much angst against the government in Canada. I have heard a little about the succession attempts of Quebec and I feel as though thats most likley not the best for the country as a whole. But just the fact that something of that nature could even be proposed in a country is way out there by US standards, if you even mention a succession in this country there would be an FBI investigation and then you would disappear! I understand no country is perfect but it seems to me there are alot of things you guys have all over the rotting corpse of a once great country we have!
I am a business ower and I pay in the 25-30% range for income, single business and property taxes. For my money I get no medical care(thats another $450.00 per month) or any form of benefits as a citizen, other than I can say I am the proud owner of a Tomahawk Missle sitting in a Iraqi dessert!
Maybe the grass is greener in the other side of the fence, but not this side, I envy you and your country!

We do Chassis fabrication and our own engine and tuning work aside from the machining(subject to change). My wife and brother in law were both born Canadian so it just may happen! I do want to visit the Elliot Lake race this summer and maybe make it to Toronto to race also. And who knows, I just may take a trip to Montreal and catch a game, when do they play the 'Wings?

Montreal is an awesome town. NOWHERE in North America is there better food - and cheap as well. Even the little "greasy spoons" are awesome.

I don't think the Wings play the Habs this year. However, going to a game in Montreal is akin to a religious experience - kinda like watching a baseball game at Yankee Stadium. I speak from experience - as a kid I saw about 400 games at the old Montreal Forum. My aunt had two season tickets and gave them all to me, except for the Detroit tickets - that was her team. So I never got to see Detroit play.

Not likely. We pay more taxes in Canada but we also receive much more services than other places.

This election is very difficult because you have people voting against the liberals as a punishment for scandals but the other partys are in reality offering less to the people than Liberals are. It's easy to say "time for a change" but what if the change is worse than we have now?

Too not vote, spoil your ballot or anyother thing doesn't help. We (Canadians) myself included sit on our collective butts and then whine & complain about how bad our goverment is. Why is this election going on, ans. is because Harper wants the power and couldn't & wouldn't work in the house of commons to keep the machine going. Do we really want Harper in power? and as for Martin, his fate was sealed long ago, he's been doomed from day one. He was in at the top for years behind the good ole boy Jean and sold down the river. There's no way he didn't know about the scandals brewing in his party. NDP well having lived with Rae days and seeing just how bad things can get when you vote other just for the sake of kicking the other guys to the curb at the provincal level, I can't vote for the NDP. The same thing that is happening to Martin happen to the conservative party after Brian Mulroney was kicked to the curb. Oh how short our collective memory is. I don't like any of the current bunch of boobs running.

I think a lot of the problem's stem from no longer having truely national party's anymore, The BLOC is not a national party, and never has been. They are solely a regional party. The conservative party while recovering from the Reform party platform, is seen as a national party on the surface while in fact they too are regional (western canada) and are seen by most in that light. It's a hard sell for them with Harper at the helm, they would have been better off with a leader from Eastern Canada. The NDP our National whipping boys, while they are a national party their agenda would make us the welfare country of the world, they will never get elected or even considered buy anyone in Ontario who can remember Bob Rae, he left such a mess behind him at the provincal level that he in effect killed any hope for a federal NDP. That leaves us with Paul Martin and the liberals, yep a national party, piggy's all lined up to strap on the feed bag (all party's strap on the feed bag once elected, the liberals just keep getting caught) Can and will Paul regain control of the country coffers? Its a hard sell for all Canadains to send him and his merry band of piggy's back to office, so much bad press and scandals. however you maybe right some of us my swing liberal simply because it's better the devil you know then the one you don't.
