Can't see storing anything like this if you are going to use it for pleasure driving.

Now if I bought something off Barrett Jackson that was an investment, possibly but even then chances are I'd have enough money to store in it some climate controlled room.
Well, maybe it is a little silly but if you live in an area of the US where the car will be stored 6 months out of the year it does change things.

Compare the cost of completely tearing a car apart, fixing all the rust and getting paint on every surface to the cost of keeping your car in a dry area where it won't rust. You can spend a significant amount to keep the car dry and come out ahead. Even getting extravagant such as $25 a month doesn't seem like much.

Am I making sense, or no? :)

when i was in the army(i was a tank mechanic)engines came in a "can". its basically a huge vacuume canister, take out about 80 bolts pop the seal, lift the top off, take out all the desicant packs take out engine. storage life for these things were rated for 10 years. and the one for the continental v12 looke big enough to hold a small car.

I don't think it's silly at all. Everyone has to do what gives them piece of mind or pleasure when it comes to their car. I just think it's a little extreme for a regular mustang that's already garage kept, in my opinion. For something that you show, has high dollar value and by that I mean 50K and above, something that is concours, then I could see the reasoning.
