Well, maybe it is a little silly but if you live in an area of the US where the car will be stored 6 months out of the year it does change things.

Compare the cost of completely tearing a car apart, fixing all the rust and getting paint on every surface to the cost of keeping your car in a dry area where it won't rust. You can spend a significant amount to keep the car dry and come out ahead. Even getting extravagant such as $25 a month doesn't seem like much.

Am I making sense, or no?
