anyone ever build this

a cart of some sort that you lay an empty car shell on. something that bolts onto the frame whit wheels so you can move it

Sure people have built them. It's called a rotisserie.

Just some square tube and a couple of HD casters. This one attaches to the inner pivot bolt of the lower control arm. The arms, of course, are not installed.

Try searching the internet (or forums like VMF specifically) for the phrase "chassis dolly".

oh ok i swear i thought of about 10 terms and i couldnt find anything. ill search chassis dolly

The guys I know use an old 6 cylinder axle for the rear. Attaches to any 64-73 Mustang with 4 bolts.

this is with my 66 coupe on it fully loaded. I used 2.5" o.d., 1/4" wall square tubing with some 2.5" i.d. tubing for the mounts. Everything is adjustable to fit various frame widths and lengths. I had my 69 Falcon wagon (fully loaded again) on it for a while before the Stang went on.
