I noticed a couple of weeks ago that the plug that goes into the top of my alternator (stator I believe?) was in bad shape and that shaking the wires produced a spark show
So I ordered a replacement plug from 5.0 resto and soldered it on last weekend. Problem is the upper radiator hose seems to be laying on it and melting it! It looks as though I have enough clearance with the hood open. But I think the hood is pushing it down just enough to touch and it has already melted a small spot in the corner of the new plug. Ideas??
