I have mounted 2 kits on mustangs before (Hold on sec, I have to get my flame suit on..................ok): Mine and my brothers both have it. I have a Street Glow Gold Series kit. The tuck nicely behind the side rockers. I think neons are gay if they are done wrong or used improperly. If you can see the bulb from any angle they are dumb. The rear I secured behind the bumper where there are 3 straps that hold the bumper on. In front, it is behind the metal bumper support between it and the A/c Condenser. It looks sweet from the front because it reflects off the condenser. To each their own. If you want them, get them. I only use mine sparingly. I don't park at wal-mart and lean on the car with my arms crossed or anything. I never use them in town. I usually only use them on the interstate. Theya re ok. I may take them off and sell them though. I would take pics but the car is 400 miles away right now.

To each their own indeed

At least he is a fellow Mustang owner...

Personally, I would never do it.

Are these the "childnet.com" forums?? It never ceases to amaze me how eveybody that has nothing to add to a post, seems to always feel the need to chime in, and rank on somebody. Sometimes the more i read this crap, the more embarassed i feel to be 34 yrs. old and drive one of these cars ... How about CAI? RICE! How about aftermarket stereos? RICE, How about aftermarket exhaust? RICE.... Somebody will always think something is RICE just because they don't prefer it for themselves. How about we all just live with our stock cars, so we can all be equals And one more thing, i also drive a 66 Shelby Cobra rep that weighs 2,000lbs and is powered by a NA 408 stroker w/ 540rwhp... I can sit here all day and rank on people who talk about bolt-ons, exhaust, and how "fast" their cars are. However, people enjoy different things, and people can afford different things. No reason to rip into somebody just because YOU don't agree with how they want their car to look. Too bad posts can't be posted in "tech" and some responses posted in BS. Just my .04

I had them on my Beretta years ago.
You screw the in to that little flap of the body when you look under the car on the sides.. or if you want them completely hidden (so you can't see the actual light bar,) mount them behind that little flap.

For the front, I mounted mine to the underside of the front bumper cover, and on the back, drilled holes up through the spare tire holder and mounted it up there behind the rear bumper.

Don't use double sided tape. And go with whatever you think looks cool.. don't take any guff from these guys.

Putting neon kits on it easy. Just look at the underside of the car as a whole picture and can figure it out.

Best way to do it is buy zip ties with a screw hole and use self tapping screws. Mount where the actual tube is not visible, thats what you get in trouble for. There is a body panel to frame joint, just tuck the tubes behind it and then for front go right in bottom of bumper void and then right between gas tank and rear bumper.

For electrical, start with red (hot) and go from Positive side of battery to on side of toggle switch. Then go from toggle to hot side of transformer. Run black (ground) from negative side of battery to negative side of transformer. Then just run your leads (wires feeding neon tubes) in a circle starting and ending at transformer.

I hope you didnt get Street Glow or Low Glow....but I know you did. Good old 1" tubing, have fun trying to hide those. Bad Boys Neons are the way to go, but Paul died and I like Rosetta might be running the business still. you could see me from several miles away. it is hard to tell with SG or LG kits, you can barely tell if they are on when you are right next to the car.

I had mine on my ranger at first for 4 years and went offroading with them and they NEVER broke then put them on my stang for a little while then took them off because thats when the gay a** fast and furious came out. Everyone talked sh** about my car having neons then that movie came out and everyone and their mom and grandma got them.

Street Glow and Low glow only sell in one color kits dont they? Mine had THREE different colors welded in ONE four foot tube: horizon blue, emarald green, and seacrest and it looked beautiful going down the road. ahh the good old days...anyway....

hope this helped.

I had a low glow kit, and it wasn't 1" thick. My friend had a street glow kit on his S-10, and that also was not 1".

It's simple to hide the light bars, and you can be seen for blocks easily. Several miles? I'm waiving the bull**** flag.
