anyone ever parted out a car?

im looking to part out an 86 gt on ebay that is basically stock, how much can i expect to get from it? anyone parted out a car? how much did you get from it? i'm just seeing if it is worth doing because the car cost me 600$

you should be able to get your money out of it, if the engine and transmission are good. you shouldn't have any trouble selling the 8.8 "rear-end".

and after everything is gone you could load it down with scrap metal and get about $100 at the crusher.

IMO i wouldn't part out a $600 dollar car...although i parted out my '86 which i paid $850 for(wrecked it), but i put everything in my '87, so i guess i got what i paid for

Just like the aero nose cars, there is a huge following for the 4 eyed cars as well... you should be able to make a decent amount of cash from it... btw, where are you located?

i actually have to puick the car up still- i havent had the time, so i don't really remember- when i find out i'll let you know

I know someone who needs an 86gt rear bumper and someone who needs t-5 tranny..

If you can get the parts i need my father can pick them up with cash in hand.. We need a rear too.So heres what i need..
clutchpedal assembly
tranny
rear end 8.8
Gt rearbumper
and the tranny wiring harness and O2 sensor harness..
We can talk numbers if you IM me

Ok .. Is the consel grey because the dash is.. Umm Ill take the tranny and the pedal assembly along with the rear bumper.. I need the tranny harness,O2 harness,and fuelpump harness, If the dash pad is indecent shape ill take that too if grey.. Name your price for this stuff and my father can pick it up..
