Also bumped into Ron Capps, Doug Kaletta, Hillary Will, Tommy Johnson JR, and Melanie Troxel. Ron capps was way shorter than I thought he would be. The nitro is awesome up close if you can take it for that long. There is a reason they wear those masks when the start up the fuel cars. My eyes and throat have never hurt that bad in my life! Still worth it when they hit the throttle in the pits to seat the clutch and you are standing front and center 10 ft away to feel it!

Special thanks to Ray for the great accomodations and food! We were in the RV section backed up to the track at the 1000 ft mark. Up on the roof you could see the whole place, could not have been better!

It's hard to tell from the pic because its so small but thats Bob Glidden giving Walter his autograph and some special tuning tips.
