Anyone have a B-303 Cam?

I have one. Sounds pretty mean at idle and pulls like mad from 3000 to about 6000. It's an old school design. The TF cams or any Comp Cams Extreme cam is better in every respect. I'd buy another B303 anyday if it meet my needs. I'm very pleased it. :nice:

You'll like it. I know a guy that has a E303 in his car and he tried to race me from 70mph up on the local expressway one morning. I decimated him real bad. He was not happy about it. I laughed at him as he drove by. He's a dik anyway.

I am running the B cam on 1.7RR's 2* advanced, it starts working well at about 3800 and pulls to 6000. Decent cam, but not the best, I might be swapping for something better soon.

most people are gonna tell you to get an aftermarket intake and other BS and not to do a cam. Well I did the cheap route and proted and polished my stock heads and intake and put in the B303 cam and let me tell you with a good stall convertor, or a T-5 tranny, it is one great cam. Great lopey idle and really nice power band. mine seems to kick in at 2,000 and doesn't stop. Definitely recommended. I want to find something similar to the B cam for my 466 big block now. :)

I too have a B cam and I've had a guy in a camaro actually tell me he didnt want to race me because he said "Sounds like you've got some crazy engine work done"

Thats how bad it sounds :)

Oh and yeah, it is nice to see the B cam not getting bashed in these forums for once.

Yeah, really, no one has bashed it... yet.

It seems like thumper heads and the B cam get the most bashing, and i have both. Maby some parts my not be "as good as" but it doesn't mean they are bad. The B cam sounds larger than it is, mostly because I does have considerable overlap considering it's only a 112LSA. Sounds like less than 110LSA. You should hear it through my setup, has a real old hot rod sound but sounds like a flat tappit. Have you ever noticed that the B cam's lobes look similar to a flat tappit cam's lobes. That might have to do with it.
