I want to see what one looks like before I put one in my car. I was thinking of a 6pt I dont want a full cage it is still going to be a street car I hope.
thats a nice looking cage. Do you know if that would allow me to run in the low 11s at the track possibly 10s one day? Also ifyou had a back seat could you use it?
Here's some pix of my kids' '65 fb with 6 pt installed by Maier Racing:
The diagonal from the main hoop to the footwells is bent in the middle, for easy ingress/egress. That makes it not legal for NHRA. Rear seat access is no problem. Also a good feature for a street car is that the main hoop is far from you head, so you don't whack it in a crash.
So a 6 point cage is like historics? I wouldn't mind doing one if I could have one fit in like 180 out's is. I would want it as flush to the lines of the car as possible. I would still like to be able to use my rear seat. Is there something like this? I really believe once I get some other mods done and use the juice I'll be in the 11s. My track is IHRA so I can go to 11.5 but I should be creeping past that eventually I do believe.

Yep, mine's a 6pt and the rear seat was removed since it would be useless anyway! I chose to change the mounting points to avoid cutting any interior glass parts, after having to replace so much during the resto (P.O. buthered holes everywhere) I just couldn't force myself to cut the new ones up.
The cage is an Autopower Bolt In.
