anyone have a picture of the TCP rack and pinion steering setup?

my engine is also in, but thought you may want a pic anyways. this is the non-power rack before i installed the inner/outter tie rod ends
i also agree with it being a simple install.

Question: did you have to modify the steering wheel shaft in anyway ? Also did you have problems with the Z Bar Clutch ?

I can answer that. You do, but it's a real easy job. Just pull out the old steering shaft, install the new one, and cut the supplied intermediate shaft to correct length.

ok, thanks for the pics guys...I have a funky question though, is there any way the rack could be moved forward some(I am planning on using an unusual engine with a rear sump pan and am trying not to have to use a mustang II front suspension to make everything work) I understand that the steering shaft would no longer be in the correct location, but making a custom linkage is no big deal, I will also be using a v6, so I might just be able to combine moving the rack forward slightly with shoving the engine and tranny back slightly to gain my desired clearance(which presumably I should have room to do, with one less cylinder on each side, which would also gain me the advantage of moving the t5 shifter a few inches closer and maybe slightly better weight distribution)

ask for Jim Wright he was very helpful to me on questions and doing a parts exchange i had to do... they sent me a wrong part on my suspension and had to change it... he took care of it quickly.
have you already bought your rack? I recomend buying it straight from TCP rather than one of the vendors.
if you have parts exchange issues you have to contact the vendor they contact TCP ... then TCP contacts you... easier just to deal with TCP I found that out the hard way.

im not an expert but the rack takes the place of the front crossmember... you would probably have to relocate the mounting points and wouldnt that affect the steering geometry? meaning the tie rod ends wouldnt line up with stock spindles etc? I hope your good at fabricating
