Anyone have any links for installing a AFPR and a Fuel Pump? Couple other ?'s also...

Tomorow I start on my supercharger install. Im still waiting on the vortech brackets and bolts so tomorow im going to install everthing else. Heres my plan for tomorow:

1.Pull off upper and polish it.
2.Install 36#'s and Kirban AFPR
3. Install Fuel Pump

I still dont know what to do with my MSD 6btm or the boost and fuel pressure guages so if anyone can give me links or tips to install the AFPR,fuel pump, and the guages that would be great. For the blower, it seems pretty simple except for tapping the oil pan. Do I need to hack my fenderwell for the power pipe?

AFPR is simple...

1. Unplug the inertia switch and then run your engine 'til it dies to relieve pressure

2. Pull off the line that runs from the FPR to the throttle body...a bit of gas will leak out, but not much.

3. Use allen wrenches to undo the two screws that hold it on...probably the most tedious part of the whole instalation - the one on the right is in a very awkward position (atleast with my intake)

4. Throw down a new O ring if you have one...if not don't worry about it, the Kirban won't leak...probably...

5. Reverse steps 1-3

yeah i pulled off my upper today to get to my injectors and then realized how easy it is to swap the afpr and the injectors,afpr is already in. i bought a injector rebuil kit for my stockers in like december but never installed it, should i rebuild my 36's, i had to buy used?what about my fuel pressure guage, should i install that whill my upper is off or does it not matter

get a haynes manual...great instructions for the fuel pump. I got mine from autozone and got the fuel pump done in 3 hours...taking my time, working alone, and lifting the tank myself.....LOTS OF FUN but really easy job. Good Luck

ok cool ill pick one of those up when i get some billit polish and aircraft remover, anyone know how/where to hook up fuel pressure guage?

Do you have a rail mount gauge? If so you'll need a 1/8 to 1/16 adapter if its not that size already and you unscrew the shrader(?) valve on the front of the fuel rail and put the gauge there. If you have a cowl mount gauge its basically the same thing except you run a line from the same place to your gauge.

not too sure what your talking about but the guage mounts where my clock used to be, whats the shrader valve look like?

The shrader valve looks like the thing that you put air in your tires with (known as a "shrader" valve as opposed to "presta" valve). It's on the fuel supply line, near the front of the engine, on top, just before the line attaches to the rail, passenger side.
