I had the motor that open and closes the door replaced and mine still does it. It's like it blows out more on defrost than in the floor but it's on the floor setting. If anyone has had this problem and got it fixed, please post up. thanks

Yes, my car does that as well. I've had the car for a year and forget to bring it in. The car is "away" for the winter, so it hasn't been an issue for me. I do have to have it fiixed.....OH, it is an 06 gt

this may be good

at first i was sooooo mad that my car had this issue. after a few time of using it i realized that it has the same benefit of defrost without cycling the A/C clutch thus keeping gas milage at a norm. plus keeps your toes warm, you dont have to constantly switch settings. i see it as the best of both worlds..IMO

On my 05, (december 04 build), any air selection to direct air towards the feet is thrown onto the windshield instead.
And my toes get pretty cold!

Ford says they are aware of the problem, but no fix is to be expected.

Early 05's apparently had the problem even worse than most.

Yippy!!!

Mine does it too (06 GT).

There IS a fix. Install the controls from an 07 or 08 and it is all fixed. Looks like Ford silently fixed the problem.

I am going to go in and see if I can get it fixed under warranty this week. I am going to print out the thread where the guy claims he fixed his with the newer controls.

Read these two threads. It appears to me that it was a problem on 05 and 06 cars, and they fixed it *maybe* on 07's and definitely on 08's:
