I just had a K&N installed, 69 series, Typhoon for my 06. I think the guy should have put in a 63 series aircharger, but I figured he knew what he was doing when he ordered it. I'm not going to mention any shop names. Anyway, when I arrived home I noticed the engine light had come on, and it never has before. I've had the car about 2 weeks, no problems, runs great. In fact I don't notice anything at all with the Typoon thing installed, for better, or worse. Just the engine light.
So has anyone else installed this or any K&N on their Saleen? I'm wondering if I should have it removed, put in the 63 series, or just put back the stock one.

Also, can anyone recommend a decent shop that's not too far from Greenwich Ct.?

Thanks in advance. The car is great, and I'm thrilled everytime I get to drive it. I was torn between this and the new vette, and so far I have no regrets at all. :flag:

I might just be coincidence that your check engine light came on at the time it did. I personally know of three other Saleen owners in the Albuquerque area that had the same problem with their '05/'06, and it was the PCM that had to be replaced. I had the same problem as well but with an additional twist. Shortly after they replaced my PCM, the check engine light came on again. That time it was a result of my harmonic balancer loosening up and cuasing the car to sllightly misfire which triggered the check engine light. Take your car to Ford and let them get the ereror code to find out the problem. Either problem is easily resolved and won't cause any damaged if fixed soon.

Good luck!
