Anyone know anything about Carolina Chassis dyno?

As mentioned before, I'm going to get my car tuned for the new headers tomorrow. The shop I'm taking the car to is called Carolina Chassis Dyno, near Columbia SC. Anyone have any info on this shop and are they reputable. I'm not looking for a custum tune, I just want to get my Brenspeed canned tune adjusted for the headers. They are a listed SCT tuner and specialize in Ford vehicles. It just happens to be the closest place to where I live (Augusta GA).

No tuner can see another tuners physical file. The only thing they can do is run the car on the dyno or datalog it, then make tweaks by adding in or taking away in any parameters that are out of range.

Carolina has made a name for themselves by being different. A while back they were seen alot with a procharged D-1 mustang that they struggled with and were not very competitive because of that fact. A lot of trial and error with things is what they were stating. Not sure their results changed. Aside from that I don't know much about them and can't say they're great or poor from any sort of personal experience.

So I can keep my Brenspeed tune in and still have the dyno shop make air fuel adjustments etc..?

Sure, but they are still putting the car on the dyno or reading a datalog in order to make these adjustments. What did they say the cost was for the work? I see their hourly for tuning was 200.00 an hour.

Do you have a wideband in that car. I would assume so with the numbers your posting. If you do, why not datalog with your SCT and verify A/F. You'll know right away if you need any tweaking.

It does say on their webpage that custom tuning runs 200 an hour. I'm not sure if they'll charge me as a custom tune or not. I'm not sure how long this process takes. I've had the long tube headers on for 5-6 days now and have had no problems so i wonder if I even need to get on a dyno or make any adjustments.

Sorry for sounding like a noob but not sure what a wideband is. I could datalog but the instructions that came with my SCT were not very clear on how to datalog. I know I plug the SCT in and drive around for awhile. After that i,m not sure what to do with the data. I guess I email it back to Brenspeed?

Well you could email back to brenspeed. You need to download SCT's live link software off their website and extract your datalog files to that. This combined with real time air fuel readings off a wideband gauge will let you know if you even need to make any changes.

Right now your flying blind and not wanting to get on the dyno for a custom tune, but it appears to me your going to get charged a pretty decent chunk anyway.
