Anyone know weight of polished factory wheels? Unsprung weight...

Probably should have checked this before I got my rims, I just automatically assumed that aftermarket rims are lighter. not so and especially if you have chrome wheels, which apparently can weight up to 34 lbs.!

My 18" American racing Casinos weight 27lbs. which seem decent considering it is a bigger rim, so I am curious to the weight of the 17" optional polished rim.

If you are gonna hate me if it is sarcasm, then it wasn't sarcastic. If you are going to believe me and tell everyone that the wheels are really 28.544379^2 pounds, then maybe it was a joke because I left my scale at my other house and I just guessed the weight.


...And no, I don't have anything better to do with my time (except measure wheels)

Stock bullits are 27 lbs aorox. No idea if the chrome is more.. I bought polished, just as nnice as the chrome.

Chrome wheels are essentially the same weight as polished or painted wheels of the same style. It all depends on the size and style. I can't answer you question on exactly how much the stock wheels weigh though.

If stock is 27lbs. Then add .005 lbs. for the polishing compound. If you talking about the chorme, then add .03 lbs. for the chrome plating.

Maybe to clarify I meant the polished rim as in the non-Bullit wheel. If anyone knows i would appreciate an answer.
