anyone know what this is? 84 GT, trying to clean up the wiring but dont know what it is or what its wired to.

its an amp switch for the factory radio. kinda like a boost. If you dont have the factory radio you can get rid off it. If you do have a factory radio, while its on, push the knob for it and see if it still works

that may be the knob for it in the pic IIRC

thanks, its been driving me nuts, the car does not have radio in it, or speakers actually so i guess its of no use, thanks to previous owner

Yes, factory Ford amp. Probably more trouble to try and use it than it would ever be worth. Should be able to remove both the switch, the amp, and a bunch of wiring.

Maybe keep it for when people try to resto these things.

i pack rat stuff i strip off usually lol, so more than likely i'll hang on to it.
