My car was like that almost! After I did my antirust treatment I added some extra grease around the engine bay cause I was so paranoid of it rusting, All the dust and dirt sticks right on that ...made it look all dirty and old..also very hard to clean later!

But your right that motor does'nt look like it has 38000 original miles on it..lol.
