Pop a bunch of sleeping pills, dramamine, and sneak on a couple of those miniature bottles of whiskey or other choice of alcohol.

That said, at least you'll be the calmest person when your plane is going down in flames.

One time on a visit to my family in Atlanta we flew in.

There was a little storm...damn drizzle fo ****zle. We went to the coke building for a tour just to waste some time (the wife had not been there). We were walking in the drizzle in shorts and T's (labor day weekend) while people were running around like the world was going to end in big rain coats, long pants/jeans, coats, and sweaters.

The lady at the door of the coke tour entrance opened the door and was waving us in with ALOT of motion. The first thing out of her mouth was "were are you guys from?" and we said "St. Louis". She then said "bet you guys dont get weather like this up in St. Louis"...we all just . We replied what you mean the light rain you have out there . She then asked why we had on shorts and T's in such COLD weather.

Long story short our return flight was delayed 2hrs due to a damn drizzle. We flew out with 10x's worse weather than we were delayed for on the return.

You forgot this one:

And also:
http://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/List_of_notable_accidents_and_incidents_on_commercial_aircraft

List is bigger than I thought. Of course, it's mostly no name airlines. If you fly on Indian Airlines, do you think your family at least gets free slurpees for life if you die?

I just dropped a family member at the airport earlier.

Was one of those pics from the emergency landing a year or so ago where the front wheel wouldnt come down or it was crooked or something? That pilot centered that plane right exactly on the white stripe in the middle of the runway and just feathered it down. I was impressed.

Those new economy seats are rough but they're pretty cheap. No meals or drinks but all the birds you can catch in your grill.
