Anyone put a shift boot on a Automatic shifter??

I did. I had one laying around from an 85 turbo coupe. I pulled the console trim up on my 87 and slid the boot over the automatic handle and then put the shifter trim back down.

I used a boot out of a 5speed stang, and also the trim around the boot. just yank the handle off put the boot and trim on and snap the handle back on.

I did it in my camaro... I used an Mr2 shift boot.
