Anyone rebuild their own t5

I blew my T5 up, I was thinking about rebuilding it myself, and I am in the process of ordering the G-FORCE t5 upgrade kit, and was wondering how much of a job was involved in doing my own rebuild. I already have the trany taken apart, but dont know how to take the gears out.

You have it apart but you don't have the gears out???

Click HERE and download AND PRINT yourself a copy of the T-5 service manual. It's very specific and user friendly. And it's FREE. I printed mine on 3-hole paper and put it in a 3-ring binder for future use. Where are you located?

Hey Slowgt, thanx for the link, I will try to disassemly the trany once I get home, Im located in Chicago, I see that you have a stroked 351, I was thinking about stoking my 351w also, how does it run, and are you happy with the tko, I was thinking about getting a tko but cant find one that will handle 600 hp like the gforce says it can. Right now, the shop that built my motor stated that Im over 410 hp, and I blew the main shaft on my t5, I have a 95 and it came with a v6 in it, and would like to stick with a manual trans, but it has been hell tring to get a good trans, was going to go with a c4, but dont wanna go through the hassel of running trans lines, cutting the driveshaft, finding a yoke, and another cross member, are you happy with your tko???

I don't have it all together yet. Hopefully by the end of the month. It's slow going when you do everything yourself.

I suspect the TKO II will handle it. They're rated for 475 ftlb torque in a 5500# vehicle. At most, I'll only be 3500# and my torque should end up in the low 500's. I'm going to take the gamble since I've got it. Tremec just recently issued a 500ftlb and 600ftlb TKO. Check out the NEWS on TTC's site. I had a 3550 in the car before and it worked fine. I'm not expecting any major difference in how the TKO feels.
