lift hood and put prop in. remove bolts from one side, go to other side with hood still on the prop and remove those bolts while bracing the hood with your other arm. once all bolts are removed, gently let it slide down onto windshield cowl area.
move to the front and drop hood prop, then lift hood up however you can get a grip on it. i have removed mine solo lots of times.

Removing the hood solo sucks at first, but I'm use to it now. My advice is put some towels or an old comforter in between the gap between hood and the cowl. It helps braces (cushing) the hood, also just in case your hand slips because of sweat you don't chip the paint on the hood or the car. Been there down that. My advice is any extra hand is better than none. Good luck.
I've done it just like these 2 guys many times. Just make sure you have a good grip on it when the last bolt comes out because it will want to shift. Take your time and good luck!
First mark the location of the hood hinges on the hood for later alignment. place thick blankets or towels on the windshield and cowl. keep the hood prop in the hood. Loosen the bolts on side only, then move to the other side. Remove those bolts, then gently place the corner of the hood on blankets. Go back to otherside, and using your shoulder to support it remove the last two bolts. lay that corner on the blankets. Go to front of car, remove hood prop and with out busting a nut, lift the hood off carefully.
