Anyone replaced their heater hoses?

Hey all, I broke the metal heater hose that runs from the lower intake up to the rubber hose near the firewall. 50resto has the replacement unit for $75, but I was wondering if anyone has replaced these lines with braided hoses, or something more flashy, and where you purchased them. Any pics?

isnt that heater core hose hucked to the fuel line also, i can rememeber and this very moment, id say got to a junk yard and pick on up for $5 and just clean it good b4 installing.

It's hooked up to a handful of stuff really.

theres one nut from the lower intake that helps hold it down but u dont really need it. theres only one sensor in the piping which is a coolant temp sensor

I meant that tube is anchored to other tubes. Yes, the only engine attachment it has is to the lower intake you refer to.

There is a sensor on that heater line..I would not eliminate that sensor.

If 50resto has it theres a good chance either Ford or your local auto parts store would have it too.

I thin mines may have a crack in it cause i replaced both heater hoses but it still leaks from the bottom pipe line where it meets the hose.
