Only found one member here that's posted about these seats and his review was positive. They look good to me, and are super affordable by comparison to Recaros, Sparcos, Corbeaus, etc... To me, I just can't understand how those companies can get away with charging $700+/seat for padding, clotch, and frame materials that make up one of their seats. Plus, I'm really not a big fan of the huge company advertisement into the seats I paid that kind of money for.

Anyway, I mainly want to know 1. Are these comfortable?, and 2. Will they last?

Would anyone else be interested in a group purchase if we can get them to make us a decent offer?

The only problem I see is that the seat brackets are sold separately. Those are as much as the seats themselves, so the cheapest you could get a single seat for is $400. Still seems steep.

Group purchase? Maaaaybe. It'd have to be a good offer and I'd have to sell my stock seats to help with the finance...

Actually, the seats I like are these (not sure which stitch color to go with, yet): http://www.cipherauto.com/Racing-Seats/Cipher-Auto/CPA1016-Black-Cloth-With-Outer-Red-Stitching, which are $350. I think a single seat is $200, but if you're buying 2, and I would, they give you a $50 break.

brackets come as a pair for our cars for $200 here: http://www.cipherauto.com/BRacing-S...ET/78-98-FORD-MUSTANG-RACING-SEAT-BRACKET-SET

So, you're looking at $550 complete with brackets for 2 seats by comparison with the other high end name-brand seats that would be more expensive for just one.

Thats not too bad. Its a good looking seat. Would it be compatible with a 5 pt harness?

I do have a set of JAZ buckets available to me for $100, but these look a lot more comfortable...

Not as is. There is no provision for the 5th point. I like the sound of a 5 point more than a 4 point, but honestly wonder if there's any associated increase in safety over a 4 point. Since they sell them with 4 point harnesses, I'd probably just run with that. You'd have to ask them if they can modify them for you.

Nope. Do you have them? Are they as cheap and did you like them?

I bought the summit ones basically brand new and was pretty surprised with the quality, very nice. And very comfortable as well although I have just sat in them on the ground and in the car when I was mocking up the brackets.

I hated the jegs/summit seats personally. They don't look bad at all but they sat "funny" if that makes any sense. But to be fair I'm a fairly bigger guy (6'2 235) so maybe they weren't meant for me but I've been plenty comfortable, in a sense of support and position,in other racing seats. They also sat quite low to the ground but I'm sure a bracket change could have solved that. Take that for what it's worth
