Like the title eludes to: Is anyone running a sequential gearbox in their classic? Or, does anybody have any experience racing with a sequential gearbox which can be adapted to our mustangs with a little elbow grease?

I love the potential of the robust yet compact T-5 by G-Force but it's still the traditional gated pattern.....

I have dreamed of it. The only sequential boxes I have seen are around $13000 for the box only. They may have got a little cheaper in the last couple of years though. With enough money anything is possible.

From your sig picture I assume you're interested in this for autocrossing or is there some other motivation?

I think instead of a sequential box, you might want to consider something like a Jericho trans that offers "clutchless shifting". Upshifts are as easy as lift off and shift. Downshifts just slip it into neutral, rev match and pull it into gear. They're pricey, but extremely strong and they have a certain "cool" factor to them. I drove one of these in a '69 Camaro once and really liked it. They are noisy as hell though due to the straight-cut gears.

If this is for autocrossing, I think there's lots better places to spend your money than on a sequential box.
