Anyone that has an Abaco meter that actually works, I would appreciate some input. Just got a new Abaco DBX97mm meter from a person on another forum. It was brand new, never used with reciept from 4 weeks ago. So now Ive heard stories about the meters losing their tune and I think that might be what Im experiencing. So I installed the program, loaded up the right calibration, saved it to my HD and then wrote it to slot 1. Disconnected meter and reopened program and then reconnected meter to try and read the meter... nothing there. Repeated the process several times, saving it several different ways and writing it to different slots. Same results. Every time I reconnect the meter, it shows nothing. Is this meter defective or am I missing something?

May have figured it out. When opening the program, it doesnt even give you the option to read the meter, which is how it comes brand new. If you open up a new project, even if you dont select any of the outputs or anything, it then allows you to read the meter. Tried it last night and it read slot 1 finally so Im going to try and program a different one and see if it retains it. Hopefully, had enough issues with this project.

I had a problem with my Abacco 97MM meter as well, I hit a bump and my neg battery cable came loose and when it reconnected (got a connection a few moments later) it shorted out the board on the meter and from then on the car would not accelerate past 3,500 RPM's w/ out stutter and stumbling.

I fixed the issue by getting a PMAS 95MM meter and have not had any issues since. I really think those meters are a serious gimmic unless you actually have to use more then one calibration
