Hi everyone! I just bought my first house and its in a county where they don't have emissions testing. I was thinking about dumping my X-pipe with cats and going with a BBK off road H-pipe and long tubes. I then wanted to run them trough a set of Fords SVO Bolra side exhaust. Do the Borla side pipes sound good? Are they loud? (Loud enough) I know the side skirts are delicate, and the exhaust right out your window can get old, and that they hang really low especially on lowered cars like mine, but this is my car's last summer of daily driving. So I wanted to know if it would be worth it? I think they look really cool and would look great for car shows. Let me know what you guys think, if you have them, and what you think about them!!!
Thanks for your help!
PS Do you think the long tubes with the off road H-pipe is a good move??? I wont lose too much torque without cats will I? They'll sound good wont they???

You will gain a crapload of torque with the longtubes and h-pipe. The h supposedly gives gains down lower than the x-pipe does. Good luck with the setup. Sorry i couldnt answer all your questions, but im sure someone on here will.

I had the Borla Side exhaust on my 95, it sounded mean(no flowmaster drone, and something different for a change). I did not have the side skirts, but i thought it still looked pretty good. It was fairly quiet at idle , but it got loud enough at WOT. I've heard side exhaust takes some power away because of the V shaped bend it makes, not enough to really worry about though i guess, i sure didnt notice it.

I would definetly get it again if it wasnt so expensive though. Not too many people have it. I would say go for it.

How did the mufflers attatch? Are there hangers supplied or do you have to hang them on your own?

It it made to hang in the stock location, with the stock hangers. I put an extra clamp on the piping after the muffler because it seemed like it needed the extra support from moving around and hitting the stock side skirts. I didn't actually do the install my self, but it took less than 15 mins for a knowledgeable mechanic.

My brother has them on his 95 without side skirts and they are awesome, he has long tubes and an off road h and it is loud. My friend has them on his 94 cobra with the side skirts and all he does is complain about the side skirts becuase at about 70-80 when you let off they start vibrating and sound bad. He also complains about it being quite but the exhuast is brand new and he doesn't have aftermarket headers or h pipe

i want side exhaust too but i want hooker headers ceramic coated inside and out and then taped also i want a cated x pipe so i can pass emissions hopefully then i want the loudmouth mufflers. i wanted to know if this will all fit, becuase i have a sneaking suspicion that it wont or that someone will have to make me a pipe that fits from the muffler to the side. i want the roush side skirts with the roush tips. looks good on my 04 gt right? and about your questions man i'm not sure but definately the LTs and the off road h will do. but for the LTs get ceramic coated and maybe even for the h pipe. go with like bbk or something. mac isn't ceramic coated and for the LTs if it is not ceramic coated you will notice a dramatic heat change. trust me. also let me know if this set up will fit my car. i don't wanna buy all this stuff and then not have it fit you know.
