Anyone Running the Ford Racing Tune That Comes With Whipple/Ford Racing HO Blower?

I'm interestedin the HO Whipple for my 2006 5 spd vert. A local dealer install these but with Ford Racing Tune. Sure, a tweaked one is better I suppose, but nearest tuner that is good is busy and too far away. I'd liek to know how the Ford Racing tune runs oin the HO kit as I'm considering doing it eoither short orlong term. Thx.

It works great, it makes 550 bhp like advertised on 93 octane for the 05-10 and 624 bhp on the 11-12's.

I installed this exact kit on a customer's car last summer. It is a very nice, well thought out kit, and it runs strong! But the timing in the Ford tune is VERY conservative. On one hand, you'd never hurt it. On the other hand, you could easily gain 50hp with a dyno tune and still be safe in my opinion.

But really, it's a nice kit, and a good foundation for future mods later.

Look at those power numbers, curves are nice and smooth and the AF line is pin straight. That's a perfect tune! When you get bored with it later on you can have a dyno tune and make more power like Sharad says, I'd have some money on the side for a and FRPP short block though.

numbers are lower than advertsied, but yeah, the graph looks good. Think I'd have t ogo Livernois stoker short block in the savings fund.

Actually, those numbers are abot tright for the Auto. I was looking at the Livernois site and the rwhp numbers are more significantly less for the auto than manual than I remembered. Thx again for the feedback fellas.

For an auto those are correct, the H.O. kits for auto's are only advertised 475hp unlike the 550 for the manual.
