There are several crate motor 460 foxes running around. Look for ExplodingGopher.

I think it can be done. As long as you get all of parts.

Why not just do a budget aftermarket system...probably a bit easier.

Not worth the time or money. Get a nice aftermarket system - probably end up costing less and definately sounds better.

ive got a decent pioneer head unit (flip down face and basic graphics) pioneer speakers all around with a 800w kenwood exelon amp and a bad ass 10" rockford sub (the magnet is nearly the size of the woofer, and the surround is heavy rubber) and EVERYTHING including wiring didnt surpass $500. the amp and sub i got used but it hits soooooo hard....its way better than any factory system

Damn, ya got me...and here I was thinking I was a stereo buff.

Don't waste your time and money. Get a new head unit, nice components, a single 10 or 12 inch sub, and a decent amp. It makes a world of difference.

I put in JVC flip down CD/MP3/Sat/IPOD deck, two pioneers up front, two infinity 5by9's in the back, 975 watt amp, & hooked up two rockford 10 inch subs in the back. Sounds a lot better than any Mach system I've heard

Aftermarket FTW

I agree that an Aftermarket System is the Best Choice in this case. But for all the Mach and Factory bashers, you need to take a listen to the Factory Mach 1000, I had that in my 02 GT and the 2 10" Subs thump pretty damn hard.

I agree, the Mach 1000 is very impressive for a stock system, but it still cant beat a solid aftermarket setup. Its good to be able to play ANY type of music even at higher volume and get excellent sound quality and zero distortion...that factory setup is great but does have a limit much lower than many aftermarket components

I agree with you that the Aftermarket is the best way to go, I was just making a point to everyone that thinks Factory Mach Systems suck.

I didn't want to make it sound like factory Mach systems such. I'm just saying that the time/money/effort that we would be necessary to put one in a fox would be much better suited being used towards an aftermarket system.

The Mach is ok for a factory system, but there is no reason to put it in as a custom system. Running subs off of it is a complete PITA according to about 5 or 6 audio guys I talked to. If you can get it cheap, and dont want to make any changes, it mught serve your purpose, but otherwise, you'll probably end up spending extra money to get it to work how you want it to, when you could have spent that money on a system of twice the quality and expandability.

Cant the mach systems not even play burnt cd's? I think the older ones atleast cant. Definatly not worth it, just get something aftermarket.

My '95 plays burned cd's. Also the Mach 460 sounds pretty good for a stock 10 yr-old system. Adding anything to it is a bitch.

I agree. For a factory system the Mach 1000 sounds pretty damn good.

I'm completely satisfied with my GT's Mach 460 with the 6-disk changer. I wish i could round up the parts and swap it to a Mach 1000.

I was really satisfied with the Mach 1000 even though it took up much of the Trunk with the Amp Rack and the Subs "the car wasnt ment to haul stuff anyways". The Sound was Very Clear and Clean on the Highs, Mids, and Lows and did not have any distortion, and it played all the CDs that I Burned. I remember seeing a few Ads before that had the Components to convert the Mach 460 but cant remember which Companies had them.
