A friend of mine and I just ripped one out of a car in a junkyard. It took under an hour. Now granted, we weren't being that careful. Just make sure you drop the steering column. Then it's easy from there.

Are the airbags fine to unplug with the battery unhooked? (and are they ok to go back in the same?)

Yes.

There are two bolts hidden behind the drive and passenger AC vents. The one of the driver's side might be particularly easy to overlook. It was a buggerboo

If it is possible, do it with the windshield out. I did this, made it so easy! But not having the windshield in probably isnt plausible for you.

Just take your time and save all the nuts and bolts. Dont forget the 3 that are behind the defroster vent in the front.
