Anyone tried this?

It doesnt seem like it would take THAT much...if u got all the parts. But its one of those things that at the end of the day, you ask yourself is it worth it?

You'll need the inside door panels to have room for the motors, you'll need the windows themselves, where do the seatbelts mount on a vert for the front seats? Ours are on the pillar of the roof that will have to change. You gotta eliminate that pillar on the roof correct? The list just keep going on and on. And now that i think about it, it would take a TON of work haha.

I think it would look killer. Its kinda like the Targa top....can look awesome but does $3500 really worth it? Nah....

It would look cool...i forget which model but one of the Benz coupes has it like that. But for the price of doing it and the amount of work, the difference isnt big enough. Maybe if it were a simple swap.

your thinking of the newer CLK body style. i love true coupes like ol muscle cars, CLK's, 850's, i don't think it would be a bolt in type deal there is gonna be some major fab going on.

499 to be correct.

don't buy just a top from one as it will not fit your car, unless you have a 95 hardtop/vert and need an extra top. the a-pillars are diff and so is the rear vert frame.

I was thinking more on this topic. What about buying the window assembly for a vert. Taking out the coupe 1/4 window. Then make and weld a bracket inside the body and bolting up the vert assembly. Its gonna take some work but I would attempt it. It really shouldn't be that hard. But maybe thats just my mind state in it all.
