Anyone Use a Fox PMS in our cars?

I called Anderson (AFM) and the only difference in the unit is the wiring harness.

anyone use it in our cars, does everything fit under the seat?

I have, But I also had a fox computer conversion. IMHO, It would be easier to just buy the correct one...

there are alot of used ones on ebay for fox's but not our cars.

trying to save money

How much is a new harness/modified harness going to cost? What else will you need to replace?

Like SQUEEZE&STROKE said, you may just be better off getting the right one.

Anderson is wrong in saying the harness is the only difference. The 94-95 is faster processing wise. The 94-95 also has fan controls that you will need to run the electric fans that the fox never had stock. Also if your car is an auto...its probably not going to work at all as an AODE was first offered in a mustang in 94.

The eec is located in the passenger side footwell not under the seat.

You will probably spend more getting the fox eec to work than the price diff. between the two.

Hes not asking about a FOX eec working in a 94-95....he's just asking if the PMS brain is the same in fox's and 94-95's.....and i think AFM will know best on that.

The PMS does not control the transmission, or fans for that matter. So those things dont matter.

If you factor in a wiring harness....or figuring out how to make the fox wiring harness work then go for it. Just think twice...act once.

Also, there's nothing to put under a seat....the PMS wiring harness is only so long, my "brain" was under the passenger side carpet right by the kick panel. Once you get in there you will see your options. You wont be able to tell its there once you put it in.

Yes you can use the fox PMS for your car but you need to order the correct wire harness from anderson for a 94-95, runs about $300 bucks. You can find the 94-95 PMS on ebay but they are scarce and they come at a premium. A good deal can be had if you wait.

I put a PMS on a 95 and if I had to do it all over again I would skip the PMS and grab a tweecer. Yes the learning curve is a pita but its much more powerful. For the money you spend on the PMS it doesn't do enough to deal with the stalling, surging
and surging issues that plague the 94-95. It works great on foxes, the RPM stratagy is much easier to work with and manipulate
94-95 cars are load based and are much better suited for the tweecer.

I already have SCT and know it like the back of my hand been using it for years now. I hate having the computer sit outside with me pulling the chip every few weeks.

Only problem with surging is IAC related and im a master at fixing/programing it out with cam's.
