We use those in the body shop when we have to replace crossmembers/engine cradles. Not harbor freight brands though. I’m sure it would work out fine.

No, but the first thing I would do is swap out the bolts holding the weight of the engine to some grade 8 bolts, and the chains to some thick heavy duty ones... You get what you pay for with hardware, and if my engine was hanging in the balance, Id be sure it remained hanging with a couple cheap upgrades.

Most of the people’s reviews on it seem ok. Looks like it did the job.

Used it to replace a timing cover and oil pan gasket on a 93 GT. Worked fine. No issues.

I used it to drop my k member to do my oil pan have no complaints about it. I did also get a bigger chain and wrap it around and bolt it to the head just to be in the safe side. Its nice and solid otherwise

I've used the accessory bolt locations on the heads when I've pulled my engine. Maybe you can do the same thing with this support bar?

I used it on my 05 Focus to replace clutch and it worked fine. Not necessarily the best example for you, but I did use the chains they provided.
