I just installed Optima Red Top battery in my brothers 96 Probe GT ,i did some modifications because Optima is little higher than stock battery (i made new tray)
Battery in my Stang is old and have to be replaced , so i was thinkin about Optima Red Top battery , for now i gonna install in stock location (under the hood) and i may move to the truck but not right now and i gonna use just for Stang no fancy 10000 amp speakers box

What part # Optima Red Top i need

i would go with the 34/78. you may need to notch out your battery tray a little for it to sit flat (i had to with the 02) but it came with the adapter for the hold down so it all fits in nicely

I feel like the odd man out.. Im using the 75/35-925 red top. It does seem a little small but still does the job well.

Not the best pic Ernan, but you can see a little the black bracket across the top, with the wing nuts holding it down... The wing nuts are attatched to to long bolts that slip through the bottom of the tray.

I cant remember, but I think not, since a new one was cheap and fit the new bolts better.

I got the 75/35 too. It's a little small for the battery tray, but it works.
