I can understand preserving it as a museum piece and I guess if I had the cash to keep one in storage I'd have 2. One for beating and one for showing.

Imagine if you could go back in time with about $6000 or whatever they cost in 1968 and do that with a GT 500 KR. Or, a 66 A/C 427 Cobra....What they would be worth today??? You could buy 15 2003 Cobras with the return on that money! Imagine what those cars are going to be worth when Mr Shelby isn't with us anymore....They'll be like Picassos Or Rembrandts.....I'd bet the new Shelbys will even become worth so much they won't be available to middle class people anymore...Sad
There really isn't much i wouldn't give for that car. My goal is to someday buy one for my son because he was born in '03.
