anyone with 31 spline axles?need help!

I have a set of 31 spline axles and they don't come with 31 spline ABS rings. Since the stock is 28 spline the will freek up the ABS so i've heard. What do I do? I'm getting everything done saturday and sunday. If I do press the stock ones back on, what is the worst thing that can happen? What did you guys do? I know mosar's comes with the new one, but its too late now.

thats what i thaught too, but they have things on them the the ABS sensor reads and with more splines it makes it do something where it is reading one thing and the car is doing another

I just installed a set of Moser Axle shafts about 3 weeks ago. Moser does NOT send them with the ABS rings attached, nor do they sell new rings. But you can custom order them with the ABS ring mounts pressed onto the shafts like I did for an extra $15. You stock ABS rings SHOULD fit on to your Strange axle shafts, if the come with mounts for the rings on them. The stock shafts don't have ring mounts pressed on them, they are machined right onto the shaft if I'm not mistaken. THERE ARE NO SPLINES ON THE ABS RINGS. I took my shafts to a machine shop and had new rings pressed on. The guy charged me $10. The
ABS rings are made of a powered metal and they are very soft. A great deal of care should be taken if you (or someone) tries to take the stock ones off and re-press them on the new shafts. I'm not sure how they did mine, but I'm guessing a little heat and some type of press. My best advise to you is to find out how much news ones cost and see how soon you can get them if they have to be ordered. Chances are,unless you're Lucky, you'll break atleast one, then you're screwed. As for what you said about going with more splines on the axle shafts and that it will mess up your ABS. That it is FALSE. I've heard that when you change gears and put in aSpeed Cal that it can mess with your ABS, but I havn't noticed anything unusual yet. Hope this helps. GOOD LUCK!
