Im trying to figure out how the weather stripping goes on a 69 mach1. Its the weatherstripping that goes along the roof/window line, behind the drip rails. I think Im missing a big long piece of molding that screws to the roof and the weatherstripping attaches to it.

Can someone take a pic?

I don't have any pics but there should be a thin piece of stainless trim against the body and a track that the weatherstrip sits in on top of that. Screws and sealant hold the pieces in place and the weatherstrip is glued in the track and secured at the ends with a screw at each end.

I believe RacerX is right, the rubber window weatherstip sits in a groove of the stainless trim and is screwed and glued in.

Yes, Racer X is right on the money. The stainless piece on my '70 had some sort of foam seal that went in between the car and the trim. I'm 99 percent sure it had never been off the car before, so it must have been factory.
