Hey, if anyone out there has a battery relocation kit, post up some pics of how you mounted it in your trunk. Im trying to decide where to drill the holes for it.

Thanks.

I have mine on the drivers side, used a Taylor Aluminum Relocation box, one thing with these cars is you gotta make sure you have a good ground for the battery. You will be chasing alot of problems with a quick dying battery and a car that is impossible to tune without the proper grounds.

I have the Taylor aluminum box mounted in the right rear corner of my trunk. I can't take any pics because my Mustang is 25 miles away in my parents' garage. I drilled holes and attached it to the trunk. Definitely run a ground all the way from the engine to the battery though. You'll thank me later, as you won't be chasing your tail with issues.

I would put it on the passenger side of the trunk. It help weight distribution overall.

Use some nice thick cable. I would run a ground from up front AND ground it to a frame rail. Drill a hold and put a grommet in. Make sure to scrape the paint off the frame rail before you attach the ground to it.

There's actually a grommet up on the package deck under the rear speakers, IIRC. I have my cable to the frame attached to the quad shock mounting bolt.

Thank you all, i will most likely go with the 2 ground straps. One up front and one in the back. I appreciate all the help and will probably just drill holes and bolt the box in the trunk.

I ground mine to the quad shock. I also made my own brackets and used lag bolts to secure them in the trunk. My spare tire cover is outlined with 3/4" plywood though
and carpeted over so it is quite strong and also has two amps and a large box on it.

No probs and nothing moves at all. ever.
