I'm helping a buddy do a 5 speed swap and we can't find a T5 harness. So, I'm trying to figure out which 2 wires on the auto harness are for the backup lights. All a T5 needs to have is the backup lights and the VSS connected.

If someone has a T5 harness laying around, that would work too. Just let me know which color wires go to the round plug that has the 2 terminals in it. A close up pic of the round plug would be awsome, as long as some of the wire is showing!

Thanks alot, this will be a huge help!

If no one answers I'll check in the book at the dealership tomorrow and then post on here. Good luck! Will

Ok, it's showing t-5 and aode using the same wires, except the aod ran the hot wire through the range sensor. The hot wire will be a purple with an orange tracer. Light side will be a black with a pink tracer. Good luck, Will

Oh, and thanks a bunch Will! BTW, would you happen to know Will, on the transmission where the reverse light plug goes, which one gets the hot and which gets the signal?

On the plug you can put the hot wire and the reverse light wire on whichever one you want. That is just a switch that closes when you put it in reverse so whichever way you want will work. Good luck with it. See ya! Will

Will, one more quetion and I promise I'll leave you alone..lol

I just wanted you to confirm which 2 wires I'll have to jump to defeat the neutral safetly switch. Since the switch won't be there when the T5 is in, I'll need to connect the wires to eachother, correct?

Thanks alot for all your help!

On the connector where the range sensor plugged in there should be a red w/ light blue tracer and a white w/ pink tracer. Jumper these together and no more neutral safety switch. Just don't forget it will start in gear, lol. Its no problem, I don't mind helping. Good luck! See ya, Will
