I have found a Mystichrome with about 300 miles on it for $31,800. First off, good deal? Second, do you guys that already own one find yourselves becomming paranoid about people touching your car, or where you park and so on? Can this paint be touched up if it gets a small scratch? I live in michigan and may end up driving through the winter, bad Idea or no?
Thanks guys, the car auction ends in 2 days so I need to figure this out soon.

With 300 miles I think they have to sell it as used. I paid $35.7K 6 months ago without any rebates so I'm thinking the $31.8K is high.
About the color...
It is absolutely awesome!!!
Yes, you do become very paranoid where you park it because there are no bump strips on the door.
Touch up paint matches pretty good and I've heard it's easy to match the color if it gets damaged because the color changes.
As far as winter driving the car itself is pretty low, that combined with summer only tires makes it not a desirable option.

I am moving to Michigan in a few months and I know I will not be able to drive my Cobra up there in the snow. I'm looking for a $500 Volvo (tank) for the winter.

I thought 31,800 was cheap for a mystichrome, its being sold as used, but its not a ford dealer. Its just some guy that is selling it. How much should I pay for that? A dealer told me they would sell me a brand new one for 34,000. I think I could talk this guy down to about 30-31 even, I am thinking I might just buy a regular painted one, these people trying to sell used mystichromes try to sell them for like 30-37 thousand when non mystichromes are like 25-30 thousand.

from what i hear to paint a car the mystic color is VERY expensive if you want it done right. And for being paranoind about where you park and stuff is normal, i do it alot becasue i have a black car and i try to take perfect care of it.

I think I am not going to buy a mystichrome. I think I am going to buy a torch red, black, or a white one. For some reason I like the white alot, I am going to a dealer on wednesday to see if they can find me one. What do you think they will sell me a cobra for right now, there is also 2500 dollar rebate. I was hoping to get it around $32,000 before the rebate. I think they should be trying to get rid of them since they are getting 2005's soon.

man if you would only pay 2000 more for a mystic chrome then hell i would get the mystic. i would say black would be harder to take care of then a mystic, and white would be really easy to take care of. dont get black especially for the winter.....trust me its a BI***!

They had a 2004 Mystichrome Coupe at a Ford booth at the air show here. They were trying to sel it for 44,500.00. There are only around 20 left in the World for sale new.

If you can get that one with only 300 miles for that much I would have to say go for it!

Is this a good deal. The guy is willing to let it go for 28 even. I am thinking its a pretty good deal, 5k miles is not much my dads only had his gto for a few months and that already has 6 thousand miles.
Thanks,
mikez

Mystics are awesome

only buy the mystic if....

1: You want everyone to look at you while you drive.
2: You want strangers honking at you and asking you about the car while stopped in traffic.
3: You want girls to totally loose it over your car and give you their numbers while driving at 80 on the fwy.
4: you are married and want a divorce .... soon

If you want all these things then I would say Hell Yes.. Get the misty

Well I want the mystichrome. I wish I would have jumped on that one for 31,800. Now I can only find ones for 35,000 or more. If anyone see's one for 32 or less please let me know because 32 is about the most I am willing to spend.
Thanks,
mike zilinski
