Anyone's driveshaft yoke look like this?

I need an aluminum driveshaft.....but i have never seen a yoke with what seems to be a balancer on it of sorts.....

Auto DS's have a damper.

yeah, but the stock auto ones are steel and that looks to be aluminum...the frpp one in my 95 and my old 89 had nothing like that from what I can remember.

is the auto different from a t-5 driveshaft?

Maybe they got a aluminum and swapped the yoke for an auto. Will the aftermarket frpp driveshafts fit autos?

Seems to me that there were factory autos with an alum DS. Or do you know that your DS is from the aftermarket and came with that new?

In general, the aftermarket alum DS's are not different for autos or sticks - they dont have dampers. This is why I wondered if you had a Factory Alum DS or that the yoke was changed.

Could that be a driveshaft from an aerostar van?

An aluminum driveshaft from a 92-93-94 Aerostar AWD. It is supposed to be a direct bolt up once the U joints are replaced with u-joint part #353 from NAPA.

Maybe...i've never seen one.


I read the 96-97 are aluminum like the older aerostars but they bolt right in...no parts needed.
