anyway to test amp without hooking it up?

I have an amp and I am not sure if it is going ot work. Is there anyway I can just hook it to the battery and not all the wires to see if it is going to power?

get a battery charger, hook up positive + negative. loop a wire from the positive to the remote so it will turn on, if you see a light on most likly the amp will be ok, no light means blown amp or blown fuse, i was tricked once b/c the LED was burnt out but this will get you goin
