Ok thanks guy for the help in advance but i have a question to ask. The other day i got in my car to back out of a parking space and put it into reverse but it didnt go. I shifted back into park than to reverse again and still didnt go. I pushed on the gas a little bit and it chirped the tires and then worked. In the past couple days it has done this to me twice but not everytime. I checked the tranny fluid and all is well but dont know what it could be. The guy i bought it off of said the tranny was rebuilt about 10 thousand miles ago. Any responses greatly appreciated

If you have checked the fluid and it looks good next thing that I would look at is the TV cable and make sure that it is adjusted properly. If you do a search I believe that there are a couple of threads regarding the TV cable adjustment.

I would probably also change the fluid and filter just for the heck of it.

That can be caused by a number of things, but often
is caused by sticky valves in the valve body.

They're prone to wear in certain spots with higher miles.

I've even totally disassembled them, cleaned well, lubed
and reassembled and they STILL can stick. Last go round
I had to buy a $100 reman from a rebuilder.

Not a bad idea to change fluid, but before you do, you
might want to use a trans flush product. Just make
sure it's thin, NOT thick or it'll gum up the valve body.
(Don't ask me how I found THAT out!)

I've had good luck with some stuff that comes in a blue
quart can, can't remember the name. seems to be
pretty commonly available.

For some more info & possibilities, go to the Sonnax website.
They sell lots of small internal valve body parts for AODs etc,
and they have a list of common problems and cures that
sometimes can be of help.
