I was finally finishing up my AOD rebuild last night. I've been working on it for 3 weeks now. I was almost ready to bolt the valve body up. I'm following along in the technical manual and lists the various servos that go in just below the valve body. The overdrive servo is installed, the reverse servo is installed and the 2-3 accumulator is installed. There's one more bore and the book says its for the 3-4 accumulator. I look through my parts and all around the shop and I don't see it anywhere. I then take the pan off the spare AOD that I have and it doesn't have anything in the 3-4 accumulator bore either.
By chance does an 89 AOD not have a 3-4 accumulator or did I somehow manage to lose two of them? I'm running a manual valve body with an electric overdrive lock out. Can I do without it?
