I have been searching for days and still have no answer to my problem and I would greatly appreciate any help.
I purchased a 91 GT fox with a blown transmission.. I purchased a used one (risky risky) it all seems to check out, anyways on the old transmission the shifter linkage was pointing down
On the new transmission I purchased the shifter linkage is pointing up
Supposedly the new transmission came out of a grand Marquis
The old transmission looks like someone has been all through it so I don't know if that is the original fox body shift linkage....gear selection was always fickity but I don't know if that was in part of the burned out transmission.
What I am wondering is do I have to flip the shifter linkage on the new transmission upside down instead of pointing up
Will I be fine? Thank you for your help..
