AOD shifting pattern Quick Help

How does the AOD shift 1-3-4??? Grrrrrrrrrrrr..... I'm so frustated right now. Damn thing won' co-operate

AODs shift 1-2-3-OD but 2nd is usually very short so it feels like it is going almost from 1-3.

you are capable of manually shifting it and holding all gears...but at the price of destroying your trans slowly but most surely.

it shouldn't shift into od at wot at all...unless it's already broken which it probably is since it's an aod.

and i have had 2 aod cars...so i'm not just bein a d!ck

anyway...start in 1
shift to d when you want it
then ds back to 1 to hold 2nd
then shift back to d for third

it works ok...doesn't do much for et..and will destroy your tranny soon

This is true. It is possible to make it a true 1-2-3-OD shift PATTERN by changing the VB to an aftermarket one that is designed with that feature.
