Does this have to be hooked up? When I had the wiring harness built for my conversion, I was told that I did not need to hook it up unless I planned on smogging it. So now that I have the car running and the car wont shift, Im wondering if this could be the problem? I've checked the TV cable and everything else seems to be in working order. I just cant seem to figure out why the tranny wont shift. Any input? Thanks, -Ryan

My car has the harness for it but I don't have one hooked up since my speedo cable doesn't mount up to the sensor? My car has yet to make it out of 1st gear though for other reasons so i'm not positive if it affects shifting but i'd like to know... From what I understand it just helps the car from stalling out when slowing down with alot of drag on the motor from things such as the AC running. Unless you have a AODE tranny I cannot see it being the problem to your car not shifting since regular AOD has no electronics that do any shifting. Only wires on it are the reverse lights and neutral safety.

Hmm ok thanks. I guess I'll never know what the problem is. I ordered a new tranny today, so hopefully it all works out. They were 99% sure it was the TV cable and that burned up the tranny. It goes into the shop thursday and they will either fix the old tranny or install the new one. Either way, Ive got a spare. lol. Thanks for the help, -Ryan
